Browns Look Good in Power Rankings Ahead of Week 4
The Cleveland Browns, coming off a strong victory over the Tennessee Titans, find themselves ranking 7th in theMMQB's Power Rankings from Conor Orr. The Browns have issues to improve on offense as they continue to adjust to life without Nick Chubb, but their league-leading defense provides them room for error.
In all three of their games, the defense has shut down the opposing offense, providing countless opportunities for the offense to generate enough points to win the game. The Browns are 3-0 if not for their self immolation on Monday Night Football on the offensive side of the ball.
The offense needs to find consistency, but there's little reason to believe the Browns defense is going to falter so long as they stay healthy. Eventually, someone is going to put up some points on them not unlike what just happened to the Dallas Cowboys against the Arizona Cardinals in the desert, but they will have an opportunity to win every game they play this season, likely the favorite in most of games remaining on their schedule.
The key with the Browns they have a great defense and still have upside. Deshaun Watson can get better. He needs to be better if they're serious about being a threat in the postseason. The Browns can get more of their weapons involved. Their running game has to get better. They have a chance to be a dangerous team even without their best offensive player in Nick Chubb.
The Browns are also the highest rated team from the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens, who the Browns will play this week, are 9th, the Cincinnati Bengals are 10th and the Pittsburgh Steelers are 18th.
A win against the Ravens would provide a boost heading into an early bye week and provide more evidence that this high ranking is warranted.
