Buccaneers Date Against Eagles Announced For Super Wild Card Weekend
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers punched their ticket to the playoffs with a 9-0 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday capturing their third consecutive NFC South title. Now they'll face off against the Philadelphia Eagles for the second time this season in the Super Wild Card round.
During halftime of the NFL's Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins broadcast, the league announced the Bucs vs Eagles matchup will be played on Monday at 8 pm Eastern at Raymond James Stadium. The Monday date means an extra day of practice this week. With a banged-up quarterback in Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers will use every day they can get to get healthy.

After the Bucs' Week 3 loss to Philadelphia, linebacker Devin White vowed the two teams would meet each other in the playoffs. His script was correct as the two teams will face off in the postseason for the second time in the last three seasons.
The two teams have a ton of history together as the Eagles played gatekeeper for years to the Buccaneers until they finally got their retribution in 2003 when Ronde Barber "Shut Down The Linc." The Bucs would then go on to win the franchise's first Super Bowl that year.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Playoff Opponent Revealed for Wildcard Playoff Game
After posting four straight wins, the Bucs have been playing inconsistent football over the last two weeks. However, the Eagles have been struggling themselves, losing five of their last six games.
If the Bucs can put together a solid game plan next week there's a chance, however unlikely they could find themselves moving on to the divisional round in a year many thought they would be selecting at the top of the draft.
