Arrest Warrant Issued For Former Buccaneers Super Bowl Champion

Even though his playing career feels like a distant memory, we continue to see this former Tampa Bay Buccaneer make headlines, but for all the wrong reasons.
In this story:

The sad and very public demise of Antonio Brown continues to unfold.

That is the unfortunate reality for a player who is widely considered by many to be one of the most talented receivers in the history of football, and who went on to play a major role in the Buccaneers bringing a second Lombardi Trophy to Tampa in 2020.

But as quickly as Antonio Brown burst onto the scene as a prolific receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2011, he stormed off the sidelines for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 in an equally as dramatic fashion, and he hasn't been seen or heard from — at least on the football field — since.

Despite his abrupt exit from the NFL, Brown still manages to find his way into national headlines on a pretty regular basis. Unfortunately, it's never good news.

That trend continues with this most recent report that a Florida judge has ordered law enforcement to place Antonio Brown under arrest for unpaid child support. According to Miami-Dade County court documents, the ruling was issued on August 9th after Brown failed to make a $15,000 payment to his ex-wife, Wiltrice Jackson.

Sadly, this is the second time this year that Brown has found himself in trouble with the law for unpaid child support. Back in April, Brown failed to make a required child support payment of $30,000.

It's obviously sad to see someone who was once a bonafide superstar, or celebrity athlete, have such a steep fall from grace.

But that's not nearly as sad as the fact that Antonio Brown — who has made millions of dollars in his career — isn't willing to prioritize payments that are intended to help support his own kin.

Hopefully —for the sake of his family, if no one else — this is the last time we hear Antonio Brown's name in the news for his deplorable behavior.
