BREAKING: Former Buccaneers Super Bowl Champion Running Back Signs With Buffalo Bills
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers elected to go with a younger horse in the backfield this offseason when the franchise released veteran Leonard Fournette and handed the reins over to second-year running back Rachaad White. Fournette has been exploring his options ever since with the goal of landing with another Super Bowl contender.

On Monday afternoon, he finally made his decision with the middle of the regular season approaching around the league. According to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, Fournette is planning to sign with the Buffalo Bills pending a successful physical.
Leonard will bring a veteran presence and championship experience to a franchise that is trying to get over the hump behind the guidance of quarterback Josh Allen. The Bills have relied on second-year back James Cook for the majority of carries while sprinkling in Latavius Murray and Damien Harris.
Buffalo's top three running backs have combined for 163 carries for 723 yards (4.4 YPC) and four touchdowns in eight games. Fournette will be valuable as a runner or receiver as he's coming off a season with the Buccaneers where he caught 73 passes for a career-high 523 yards and three touchdowns.
The 28-year-old still has some miles remaining in his legs and he hopes it'll be enough to get another ring. Fournette scored in all four of Tampa Bay's postseason games in 2020 as the team defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. He rushed 16 times for 89 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 46 yards in the win.
During his career, Fournette has totaled 1,132 attempts for 4,478 rushing yards with 34 touchdowns on the ground. He's also caught 312 passes for 2,219 yards and seven more scores. Fournette has split his professional career between Tampa Bay and Jacksonville.
