Mike Greenberg and John Spytek have been elevated to Assistant General Managers under General Manager Jason Licht. The Buccaneers have also promoted Jackie Davidson to VP of Football Research and Shane Scannell to Director of Pro Scouting. All four have been members of the organization for at least the past four seasons.
Greenberg is entering his 14th season with Tampa Bay and his 16th overall season at the NFL level. He previously served as the Vice President of Football Administration and Director of Football Administration. Greenberg has been an important piece in the franchises' contract negotiations, playing roles in deals with cornerback Carlton Davis, Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwin, and standout center Ryan Jensen.
Spytek has spent the last eight years with the Buccaneers after previously working for the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to his promotion, he served as the Vice President of Player Personnel. Spytek has been a useful asset in the team's college and pro scouting department over the last couple of years. Tampa Bay tied a franchise record with nine Pro Bowl selections in 2021 - eight were drafted or signed during his time with the franchise.
Davidson is set to begin her fourth season with the franchise after a long stint with the New York Jets. She was previously the Senior Director of Football Research. Davidson is responsible for assisting the front office and coaching staff with roster and other decisions. She works alongside Licht and Greenberg on salary cap decisions and player contracts.
Scannell is entering his ninth season with the Buccaneers and previously served as the Assistant Director of Pro Scouting. He assists with duties such as the advance scouting of upcoming opponents, evaluating players from various leagues, organizing player workouts, and evaluating free agents and college prospects.
