Buccaneers Dealing With Multiple Injuries Heading Into Facing Eagles

The Buccaneers have some injury question marks heading into Monday Night Football against the Eagles.
In this story:

It's been a solid start to the season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beginning the year 2-0 but on the downside they've been dealing with injuries, specifically on the defensive side of the ball.

The Buccaneers will be without defensive tackle Claijah Kancey and linebacker SirVocea Dennis for their Monday Night Football matchup against the Eagles.

Carlton Davis is going to be a game-time decision with a toe injury per head coach Todd Bowles.

Davis missed the Buccaneers' last game against the Bears with the same toe injury that could keep him out vs. the Eagles. Davis has never played in a full season since being drafted in 2018.

If he misses the game, you can expect to see 2022 5th-round pick Zyon McCollum replace him as the starting corner opposite Jamel Dean. McCollum played well against the Bears in Davis's absence but dealing with AJ Brown and Devonta Smith is a much bigger challenge.

Vita Vea and Devin White showed up on the injury report and were limited throughout the week but are both expected to be ready for the Eagles.

While Cody Mauch was limited on Friday, he was upgraded to be a full participant in their final practice of the week, a good sign he will be ready.

With Kancey being out since halftime of Week 1, the Buccaneers have still been one of the most efficient rushing defenses in the league to start the year. But that will be put to the ultimate test against the Eagles.

The Bucs will need all the help they can get against the reigning NFC Champion Eagles, but they have also gone 4-1 against this team in their last five matchups.
