Buccaneers' Fans Aren't Happy With Baker Mayfield's Quarterback Ranking

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' fans took to twitter to discuss their displease with Baker Mayfield's quarterback power ranking.
In this story:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield has perhaps performed as a top-10 quarterback thus far into the 2023 season.

Not many expected this level of play out of Baker after less-than-stellar performances at his last two stops in Los Angeles and Carolina. However, Mayfield has carried a massive chip on his shoulder and it is showing as he has been one of the most consistent and efficient quarterbacks in the league.

So far this season, Baker has completed 87/125 (69.6%) passes for 882 yards for seven touchdowns to just two interceptions for a QB rating of 101.5.

Baker's stats on the field may not be eye-popping, but his play on third downs is what has really surprised many as he is 31/39 (79.5%) for 322 yards and 5 touchdowns to 0 interceptions for a QBR of 140.7. That is astonishing. Being efficient on third down is a must in the NFL and Baker is showing that he currently is one of the best when it comes to the money down.

However, even though many are starting to backtrack on their offseason predictions surrounding the Bucs and Mayfield, The 33rd Team's Derrik Klassen still projects Mayfield as a bottom-tier QB in the league in his most recent QB power rankings.

We all know about Baker's past play at the quarterback position, but to rank him that low in THIS season's quarterback rankings thus far is just abysmal and the Tampa Bay faithful agree along with others such as Jon Ledyard and Jake Arians.
