Buccaneers Plan To Bring In Former FSU Football Star Wide Receiver For Top-30 Visit
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have four top-100 selections in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. There are a variety of ways for the team go and a few holes in the building that need filling as the Buccaneers prepare for another run to the postseason.
While wide receiver isn't a major need after Tampa bay retained superstar Mike Evans, it's still a position where the franchise could use an influx of talent after deciding not to pick up Russell Gage's contract option. Leading up to the draft, the front office and coaching staff are exploring the possibility of adding another weapon for quarterback Baker Mayfield.
According to ESPN's Jenna Laine, the Buccaneers plan to host former Florida State standout wide receiver Keon Coleman for a top-30 visit in April. Coleman has consistently been discussed as one of the most highly-regarded prospects at his postion. He met with the team at the recent NFL Combine in Indianapolis as well.

Top-30 visits allow teams across the league to meet with up to 30 draft-eligible prospects at their team facilities prior to the draft. They can conduct more intimate interviews and medical examinations with players that catch their eyes as April 25 approaches.
Coleman is projected as a late-first to early-second round pick by most draft analysts. He ran the second-slowest 40-yard dash (4.61-seconds) among wide receivers to participate at the combine but was the fastest during the gauntlet drill, showing off the confidence he has in his hands. Coleman isn't a burner but he is a player who can go up and make contested catches like a power forward chasing after rebounds. That's evidenced by his 38-inch vertical jump and 10'7" broad jump.
The Louisiana native led the ACC in touchdown catches and saved some of his biggest moments for when the spotlight was the brightest. Coleman scored three times in wins over LSU and Clemson while adding a touchdown in a close rivalry victory against Miami. In total, he caught 50 passes for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 appearances while returning 25 punts for 300 yards.
Coleman became the first player in Florida State history to be named all-ACC at three different positions (wide receiver, specialist, all-purpose). He began his college career at Michigan State and began to break onto the scene in 2022 when he made 58 catches for 798 yards and seven touchdowns. Coleman briefly played basketball for the Spartans from 2021-22.
