Buccaneers Quarterback Baker Mayfield After Upsetting Vikings: 'It Felt Amazing'
Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are feeling pretty good about their team and its quarterback following a Week 1 upset win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Buccaneers fans aren't the only ones feeling that way though, as quarterback Baker Mayfield expressed during a recent appearance on The QB Room podcast.

"It felt amazing, to be honest with you," Mayfield said. "Not the best stat line by any means wasn't the prettiest win, but...good team coming off of a great season last year and just a hostile environment...you could feel the energy the fans still had carrying over from last year. And I think just the challenge in its own was Brian Flores coming in - his first game calling it for them - and really not knowing exactly what he was going to do."
Sitting down with hosts Jordan Palmer and Kyle Allen, Mayfield discussed everything from Week 1 to ranking his all-time greatest trash-talking moments.
In his admittedly, "not the best stat line," performance Mayfield completed 21 of his 34 pass attempts for 173 yards and two touchdowns.
The final quarterback rating came in under 95 but was still solid as the first-year Bucs passer protected the ball with zero interceptions thrown and no fumbles.

While Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores threw some interesting things at the Tampa Bay offense on Sunday it was able to make strong adjustments coming out of the locker room at halftime.
Going into the half Mayfield had thrown nine incompletions on 15 tries, but threw just four in the third and fourth quarters.
That ability to stay resilient in the face of competition and for new offensive coordinator Dave Canales to make adjustments for his offense will serve the Buccaneers well as it did in Week 1.
