Buccaneers' Starting Wide Receiver Carted Off During Jets Joint Practice
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveled up to New York this week to practice with the Jets during training camp. A great combination of competition for the Bucs' quarterbacks between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask along with Tampa Bay's defense going against Aaron Rodgers and the talent around him.
With high-powered competition sadly sometimes comes injuries and this time it happened on the Buccaneers' side impacting one of their starting wide receivers.

On Wednesday morning, Russell Gage was carted off from the field after experiencing a non-contact injury per multiple outlets on site.
As reported by Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, it seems like this injury is severe with how Gage was reacting, emotionally with tears and teammates taking a knee surrounding him.
Gage was working his way back to a full 100% during training camp and was looking to be a pivotal piece in this year's upcoming offense under Dave Canales.

Behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are younger players with unproven talent at the professional level which would put the Buccaneers' offense in a tough spot heading into the 2023 season losing experience at the position.
