It could be smooth sailing for the Bucs in 2024.

In this story:

The Buccaneers haven't played a seemingly easy schedule over the past few years after winning the NFC South for three consecutive seasons, meaning they would face teams who went on to make the playoffs the following season.

This year it likely won't be much different. However, according to Pro Football Network, the Buccaneers, along with every team in their division, will have one of the easiest schedules in 2024. The Bucs check in with the seventh-easiest schedule on the list.

"All four NFC South clubs have top-seven-easiest schedules — which should tell you everything you need to do about the weakness of the division. The Buccaneers have earned three straight NFC South crowns but only won 17 games over the past two seasons. Can they hold off the Falcons, Saints, and Panthers in 2024?"

We currently do not know the exact order of Tampa Bay's schedule or when its bye week will be, but we do know who their opponents will be.

Sure, the NFC South isn't the strongest division in the league, but all teams appeared to improve this offseason and it should once again be a tough battle to come out on top. Outside of their interdivisional matchups, the Bucs will also face the likes of six teams that made the playoffs in 2023, getting the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Francisco 49ers at home while heading on the road to face the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Depending on how things shake out over training camp and preseason with injuries and throughout the regular season, Pro Football Network could be right in their assumption that the Bucs have one of the easier schedules in the NFL — but for now, I would say they are likely somewhere around the middle of the pack.
