Devante Bond, recently waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has been suspended four games by the NFL due to a violation of the league's policy regarding performance-enhancing drugs.

ESPN's Jenna Laine was the first to report the news, and also relayed a statement from Bond's Instagram account regarding his decision to accept the suspension and not appeal:

Bond was waived earlier this week by the Bucs, after spending all of his three NFL seasons with the team. A sixth-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft out of Oklahoma, Bond has been mostly a special-teams and depth player in Tampa Bay, making just six starts and appearing in 29 games over those three seasons.

Bond's release paved the way for the return of Jason Pierre-Paul, but it appears there may have been more than that to the move.
