Devin White Continues to Throw Shade at Buccaneers

Buccaneers’ LB, Devin White, seemingly continues to push the limits in regards to his relationship with the Bucs.

A little over a week ago it was reported by ESPN's Jenna Laine that Buccaneers' stud linebacker, Devin White, had requested to be traded due to being frustrated with the organization. Sources familiar with the situation told Laine that there had been growing frustrations and that White is "fed up" with how things were in Tampa Bay.

Since the end of last season, there had been speculation that White was either unhappy or possibly on his way out of Tampa Bay thanks to some of his own personal instagram stories.

Shortly after White's request for a trade was released, it became apparent that the Buccaneers had no intentions of trading the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl winning linebacker. Later on, that was corroborated by Bucs general manager Jason Licht during a press conference with the media.

Even with Licht's comments, that didn't stop White from continuing to stir the pot as he commented on a Philadelphia Eagles Instagram post regarding Jalen Hurts' recent extension "Taking care of yours".

White can continue on his warpath, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are adamant about riding out the former fifth-overall pick's contract until the end of the 2023 season.

White has been an integral part of the Buccaneers' defense since being drafted in the 2019 NFL draft out of LSU. Since arriving in Tampa Bay, White has compiled 315 solo tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, one interception, six forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries - including two that went for touchdowns. White showed up majorly in the playoffs on the Buccaneers' path to their second-ever Super Bowl in 2020 and was also selected to the Pro Bowl the following season in 2021.

Following his Pro Bowl season, White struggled at times this past season with consistency. If White does eventually intend to move on from the Buccaneers, he will need to bet on himself in 2023 and return to the form he showed early in his career.
