Devin White Shares Strong Farewell Message to Buccaneers' Fanbase Post Eagles Signing
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Devin White has had an up-and-down tenure in Tampa Bay, both with his level of play and his status in the eyes of fans. However, at the end of the day, White was a huge contributor to Tampa Bay's Super Bowl run, and he had a lot of great things to say about the organization as he leaves it for the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.
White tweeted out a thank you letter to the Buccaneers and Bucs fans, and he was thankful for the memories made with the organization and the heights he was able to achieve while there.
"I'm not sure where to start of how to find the right words to let y'all know the love and gratitude I have for welcoming this cowboy in from the moment my name was called five years ago," White began in his letter. "I couldn't have asked for a better start to my career and for that I'm truly blessed and thankful."
White went on to thank the Bucs organization for drafting him, Tampa Bay's coaches, who he called "amazing and caring people" and his teammates on the Bucs whom he says shaped him into the man he is today.
Finally, he thanked Bucs fans and the Tampa Bay area.
"While my next steps will be somewhere new, my first steps in this league were with you. You will forever hold a cherished place in my heart," White wrote. "I will never take for granted the time I've spent being with you in the community and getting to know so many of you."
