Former Bucs RB Leonard Fournette Among NFL Players Supporting TE Foster Moreau
Foster Moreau was supposed to be a rival of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this coming season.
In New Orleans to complete physical with the Bucs' biggest challenger to the NFC South crown, the former Las Vegas Raiders tight end was just steps away from following quarterback Derek Carr to the division.
But Moreau won't be battling the Buccaneers this season. Instead, he'll be battling cancer.
Something he announced on Twitter following his physical with the Saints' medical staff.

His decision to step away from football is a difficult, but necessary one, as Moreaus now turns his attention toward defeating the biggest foe he's ever faced.
And someone he's gone to battle with before is right in his corner where you'd expect him as former LSU teammate - and ex-Tampa Bay running back - Leonard Fournette immediately showed his support for a man he calls family.

"One of the best guys I have met in my life," Fournette tweeted in response to the news. "We are with you love you brother and if y'all didn't know he is a Fournette"
Moreau has also received public support from Carr, the very quarterback he was heading to New Orleans to join, and other current and former NFL players like Pat McAfee.
The good news is that Hodgkin's Lymphoma currently has a 5-year survival rate near 90 percent according to the American Cancer Society and more than 80 percent of patients can be cured while that number climbs above 90 percent in younger patients with earlier detection according to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
So, put Moreau on your NFL Comeback Player of the Year candidate list for the future.
