Game Worn Tom Brady Buccaneers Jersey Sells For Insane $1.2 Million Price

Tom Brady's game-worn jersey from his 700th touchdown has found a new home.
In this story:

On Dec. 12 2021, things looked much, much different for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady was under center, and that night, he cashed in his 700th touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in a 33-27 victory.

In the win, Brady threw two touchdowns, finishing 31-for-46 in the passing column and adding a rushing touchdown.

The jersey he wore in that game was sold at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey in a charity auction on Saturday night.

The all-time record for a jersey sold is $1.212 million as Joe Montana's "The Drive" jersey sold for that much. Brady's jersey sold for $1.2 million and a dinner with the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

The event was hosted by REFORM Alliance, and the entirety of the finalized sale was supposed to profit the charity. The Criminal Justice Reform Foundation was founded by Michael Rubin, Meek Mill, and Jay-Z.

According to ESPN, Brady reportedly spent $2 million of his own money towards the event. This just goes to show how busy Brady continues to be since retiring last offseason.

While Brady gets into other business ventures and spends time at charity events among other things, the Buccaneers are getting busy on the field, starting 3-1 in their first season without him.

The Todd Bowles-led system, headed by quarterback Baker Mayfield, has been playing inspired football to begin a new era.

As for Brady, he spent three years with the team. Other than scoring his 700th passing touchdown that night, there are other key moments from his tenure. One of those being his Super Bowl win in his very first season with the team.

When Brady joined the Buccaneers, they pushed all their chips to make it work and eventually got their Super Bowl win, but as they navigate their new era, they're feeling the repercussions of going all in.
