The Buccaneers will officially get their first taste of playing another team Friday evening when Mike Tomlin, Kenny Pickett, and the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town.

The Steelers are coming off a season that saw them finish 3rd in the AFC North with a 9-8 record. Kenny Pickett became the team's starting quarterback not long into the 2022 season and will look to build on a mediocre freshman campaign.

Mike Tomlin

The Buccaneers went all-in three seasons ago to land the best quarterback of all-time in the hopes he would bring the organization its second Lombardi Trophy. That quarterback, Tom Brady, held up his end of the bargain by going out and winning the Super Bowl in his first season with the franchise.

Those years are now behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they enter a new era without Brady at the helm. The Bucs still haven't given a glimpse into who is leading the QB battle between Trask and Mayfield - although Mayfield will start this week. Tampa also will look like a new team offensively as they hired former Seattle Seahawks' coach Dave Canales to become the new offensive coordinator.

Both teams will be trying to test different things out and for the Bucs, there are many questions that need to be answered. Tune in to the action this Friday evening.
