WATCH: Bucs Clinch 1st Division Title in 1979 'Monsoon Game'

Relive an iconic moment from Bucs history.

While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the laughingstock of the NFL for their first two seasons in the league, losing their first 26 games in a row, they quickly turned things around in 1979.

Behind a stout defense led by future Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon, and a star quarterback in Doug Williams, the Bucs quickly became a winning team. They won their first division title in 1979, clinching it with a sloppy 3-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bucs would eventually make it all the way to the NFC title game that year, falling 9-0 to the Los Angeles Rams.
