Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Tom Brady's Retirement Announcement
The sports world is still recovering after one of the top players in NFL history, Tom Brady, elected to step away from football for the second straight year. This time, it feels like a permanent decision from Brady, who will probably be moving on to the broadcast booth.

Lost in all the hoopla, we might've really just seen the passing of the torch from the greatest quarterback of all time to the player who will likely be the greatest quarterback of the next generation.
Shortly after Brady announced his decision on social media, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reacted to the retirement. Almost fittingly, Mahomes kept things short and sweet by simply posting three goat emojis.

Coincidentally enough, the two faced off six times during their respective careers and are tied at 3-3. The first three matchups took place while Brady was in New England (with Brady holding a 2-1 record). The final three matchups took place while Brady was in Tampa Bay (with Mahomes holding a 2-1 record).
While Mahomes may have gotten the last laugh with a victory on Sunday Night Football in October, Brady's lone victory against the rising star with the Buccaneers came in Super Bowl LV.
