Rob Gronkowski Believes Buccaneers Have Found Their Quarterback
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gearing up for another playoff run as they get ready to host the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round from Raymond James Stadium on Monday Night Football, but that doesn't take away from the organization's outlook into their future.
Some of the biggest question marks surround who the Bucs will be willing to pay when it comes to the likes of S Antoine Winfield Jr., DT Vita Vea, and veteran WR Mike Evans, however, another storyline that has picked up steam over recent weeks is the whether or not the Buccaneers will re-sign QB Baker Mayfield to a long-term extension after leading the team to the playoffs on a discounted one-year, prove it $4 million deal.

Baker has overcome a ton of adversity over the past three seasons and looks to finally have re-found himself in Tampa Bay. Many NFL analysts and media heads have already been outspoken about Mayfield earning a spot on the Buccaneers' roster for next year and beyond, and former Super Bowl winning tight end, Rob Gronkowski, is also now on the Baker staying in Tampa bandwagon.
Coming off of the Tom Brady years Mayfield was put into a high-pressure situation to perform up to the expectations of the fanbase. In his first season as the Bucs' QB1, he has exceeded those expectations and surely has garnered the respect of not only his guys in the locker room but the organization as well.
All signs point to Baker remaining in the Red & Pewter for the foreseeable future as long as the Bucs' brass are willing to meet him halfway when it comes to contract talks.
