Rob Gronkowski Reveals Playoff Prediction for Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The former Buccaneer and future Hall of Famer believes Tampa Bay will take down the Dallas Cowboys, should the two teams meet in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
In this story:

Rob Gronkowski, despite only spending two seasons in Tampa, may very well be the greatest tight end in the history of the Buccaneers' franchise.

Since retiring from the NFL following the 2021 season — for the second time — Gronk appears to be truly content in his post-playing career. Never a fan of offseason workouts or training activities, Gronkowski now has the freedom to use his free time however he chooses.

And although he is no longer laying crack back blocks on linebackers, or burning safeties up the seam for explosive catches, Gronk has found a way to stay involved in the sport that he's already given so much to, by regularly offering his thoughts as an analyst for FOX, and by making guests on a variety of NFL podcasts.

One of the shows that Gronk appears on regularly is Up and Adams, a football talk show hosted by Kay Adams, formerly of Good Morning Football and the NFL Network. Recently, when the two were discussing the Dallas Cowboys playoff aspirations, Gronkowski ended up using the conversation as a launching pad to make a strong statement about his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Regarding the Cowboys playoff chances, Gronk stated, "As of right now I don't really see them getting past the divisional round in the playoffs. They're gonna have to go on the road once the playoffs start and they just haven't been able to get it done on the road either."

Based on how the two teams are currently positioned within their respective divisions, the Cowboys would be set to travel to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in the first round of the playoffs.

Which Gronk sees as a good matchup for the Bucs.

"That's gonna be a good game actually, but I'm gonna have to give it to the Buccaneers. It's gonna be a home game for the Bucs and the way that the Buccaneers are playing, they are hitting their stride right now."

Gronk concluded his support for this 2023 Bucs team by stating, "It doesn't matter how you start it's about how you finish.".

NFL Analyst Says Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Should Be NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year

Gronk certainly knows a thing or two about playoff football. Hopefully, for the Buccaneers, his intuition is justified. Either way, in order for that playoff matchup to present itself, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will need to wrap up the NFC South Division by taking care of the New Orleans Saints this weekend.
