Tampa Bay Buccaneers Move On From Defensive Assistant, Former Assistant Head Coach

The Buccaneers are moving on from former assistant head coach and defensive assistant Mike Chiurco.
In this story:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently going through a national coaching search looking to fill their offensive coordinator position following the departure of Dave Canales to the Carolina Panthers to become their next head coach. However, on Monday, it was the departure of a defensive assistant that made the news for the Bucs as former assistant head coach Mike Chiurco is no longer with the organization.

Prior to switching over to the defensive side of the ball this season, Chiurco spent the previous four seasons as assistant to the head coach once Bruce Arians took over as the head coach in Tampa Bay. Prior to joining Tampa Bay's staff, Chiurco served in similar roles under Arians' staff in Arizona with the Cardinals, working as assistant to the head coach from 2013-2014 and then as assistant defensive backs coach and assistant defensive coach from 2015-2016.

Chiurco's staff member page is no longer on the Buccaneers' website and it is currently unknown as to why the two sides decided to split.

Either way, the move does not seem to be all that detrimental to the Buccaneers as they will continue to focus their efforts on locking down an offensive play-caller to come in and start building rapport with the team.
