Tampa Bay Buccaneers Power Rankings After Week 13 Win Against Panthers
The Buccaneers are still in the running for the NFC South title but they will have to win their in-division games in the last few remaining weeks. In Week 13, the Bucs succeeded with this task by beating the Carolina Panthers 21-18.
In the past few weeks, the Buccaneers have dropped drastically in NFL power rankings. Did the Bucs jump up at all in the power rankings after a win against the now 1-11 Panthers? Here are the Bucs' power rankings heading into Week 14.

Do we appreciate Mike Evans enough? I mean, do we seriously grasp what kind of career he’s had? At some point Sunday, I saw a highlight of Evans’ 75-yard catch, with the announcer noting: “And he’s only 30 years old!” Look, I am pretty good with NFL players’ ages, but how is a man with a decade’s worth of consecutive 1,000-yard seasons only 30?! It defies logic. Randy Moss is second, with six straight such seasons to start a career. Up next for Evans is Jerry Rice, who holds the all-time mark with 14 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Come rain or shine, whether his team is in the postseason or not, the man always delivers. He’ll have a chance to keep the Bucs in the playoff race next week in Atlanta. With the Bucs' defense thinned by injury and looking vulnerable at times, it might be up to Evans and the offense to shoulder the load.

Mike Evans had 162 yards on Sunday to reach 1,000 yards for the 10th straight season. That's an accomplishment that deserves as much attention as we can give it. Evans, at age 30 and with a new quarterback, has been as good as ever this season.

Mike Evans is amazing, man. Another 1,000 yard season and, as he crossed that threshold on Sunday, I thought he was going to single-handedly deny the Panthers another shot at trying to tie or win the game. Still, I can’t help but be a little disappointed that Tampa Bay let the Panthers so deeply into this one. Carolina is burning to the ground right now in a football sense. Tampa should be behaving like a team that can take control of the division next week.

The Buccaneers didn’t get a contract extension done with Evans this offseason, and he is the best thing this team has going right now. On Sunday, he extended his own NFL record of most consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons to begin a career with 10. Evans had seven catches for 162 yards Sunday, accounting for 80.2 percent of Tampa Bay’s passing game. A Buc since the team drafted him in 2014, he should stay a Buc, but he might want a shot at another ring.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will now travel to Atlanta to matchup against the Falcons. This is a huge game for the Bucs considering they lost to them earlier this season.
