The report from the Tampa Bay Times went on to state that local police are in the process of conducting an investigation. The situation is believed to be a tragic accident and isn't considered suspicious by offers.

Shortly after news of the catastrophe became public, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released a statement in support of Barrett and his family.

"Today's tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah."

Barrett is entering his fifth season with the Buccaneers. He finished the 2022-23 campaign with 31 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble after suffering a torn Achilles in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.
