Tom Brady May Unretire, AFC Team Named as Potential Landing Spot
With the NFL Combine in full swing this past weekend, and Kyle Trask receiving a public vote of confidence from his general manager, Jason Licht, it really felt like the Tom Brady hysteria was finally in the rearview.
Not so fast.
As far as NFL media personalities go, Rich Eisen of the NFL Network is about as plugged in and as likable as it gets. So it's reasonable to assume that during his weekend in Indianapolis covering the draft for the NFL Network, Eisen would've been exposed to a wide variety of behind-the-scenes conversations.

So when Eisen returned to the studio to host his radio show earlier today, he decided to compile a list of the top-5 rumors he heard during the NFL Combine weekend.
It wasn't until he got to #1 that he decided to bring Tom Brady's name back into the mainstream rumor mill.
"Number one rumor I heard at the combine? This one just blew my mind. Tom Brady may not be done after all."
Eisen went on to describe the specifics of what he was hearing in Indy.
"The one place that folks are saying keep an eye out for is Miami. And if the Dolphins, if they somehow, some way, get a doctor's report, a piece of information from a medical evaluation of Tua that he may not be ready to go, and suddenly there's Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located, and where he can easily locate himself. Keep an eye on that, I was told by a couple of birdies."
Rich Eisen was very intentional in stating the fact that these were just rumors he heard and not a result of any tangible information he had access to. So although Rich Eisen is as credible as it gets in the industry, it's important to note that he's not actually the one making this claim.
The Buccaneers, who are slated to pay out the remaining salary owed on Brady's previous contract this year, would surely be frustrated to see him return in another uniform.
I for one would be extremely frustrated if we were forced to endure yet another firestorm of rumors related to Tom Brady's potential return to football. I don't personally believe that Tom Brady would un-retire for a second time. And I really hope this segment from Rich Eisen isn't a sign of things to come.
