VIDEO: Buccaneers Interception Leads to Baker Mayfield Touchdown Score

The Buccaneers defense gave the team a huge spark with a crucial takeaway in scoring territory.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing in a crucial game against the Atlanta Falcons on the road. With a win, they tie the Falcons in the NFC South as both teams would have a 6-7 record.

With the playoffs in sight still for the Buccaneers, despite having a couple losing streaks make it feel like a pipe dream, this game becomes that much more important.

The last time these two teams faced off, it wasn't a pretty game. The Buccaneers took a 16-13 loss in a tough game. This time around, things were looking just as ugly early. The first quarter ended 3-3.

Just before the quarter ended, though, Carlton Davis intercepted Desmond Ridder to put the Buccaneers in great scoring position.

This set up the Buccaneers in a great position to punch a score in the end zone with an incredibly short field. While Rachaad White couldn't initially get it done, he moved the ball close enough for Baker Mayfield to walk into the end zone himself.

With the defense playing well early, it was huge for the Buccaneers to take a touchdown lead and get a little bit of comfort in this one. It'll be interesting to see if they can defend their lead or not.
