Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort Recaps Busy Day 2 of NFL Draft

Arizona Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort met with reporters following a hectic second day of the 2023 NFL Draft.
In this story:

TEMPE -- We're 4.5 hours following the start of rounds two and three of the 2023 NFL Draft, and the Arizona Cardinals just finished a busy day here at the team facility.

If the goal was to stockpile more assets into the final day of the draft while stashing away picks for next year, the Cardinals can call the draft a success to this point.

After wheeling and dealing during the first round, Arizona quickly found themselves continuing that trend with the No. 33 pick, the second pick of Day 2. The Cardinals moved down with the Tennessee Titans to allow them the rights to QB Will Levis.

After drafting LSU DE BJ Ojulari, the Cardinals stayed stagnant with their choices of Syracuse cornerback Garrett Williams and Stanford WR Michael Wilson before trading their final selection of the day - Pick 96 - to the Detroit Lions.

That moved netted Arizona three picks on the third and final day of the draft, a smart move considering the Cardinals didn't originally have any fourth or fifth-round selections.
