Arizona Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon gave updates to injured players ahead of Week 2's battle against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Arizona Cardinals continue to ramp up their preparations for the second week of preseason play when the Kansas City Chiefs come to town.
It's been a long stretch of training camp with one game already under the team's belt. With such a physical sport, no team in the league is clean when it comes to bumps and bruises - and the Cardinals are no exception.
Coach Jonathan Gannon met with reporters today and gave some minor injury updates to some of his players:
- TE Zach Ertz - who was just activated off the PUP list - is sick and will not practice today. He is reportedly expected to be ready for Week 1 after nearing completion of recovery after tearing his ACL/MCL last season.
- EDGE Cam Thomas has what Gannon described as a "little residual effect" from the game and the team will "be smart with him" moving forward. He played 28 defensive snaps and eight on special teams.
- QB Jeff Driskel is also in the "residual effect" club, though Gannon said his was from practice. Driskel was the lone quarterback who did not suit up in last week's win over the Denver Broncos.
- Gannon said he needs to see more from EDGE BJ Ojulari, who was activated last week after missing most football activities up to this point. "I need to see some things from him in practice before I feel comfortable putting him out in a game," said Gannon.
The Cardinals have placed RB Marlon Mack and CB Rashad Fenton on injured reserve thus far. They are scheduled to have two more days of practice before hosting the Chiefs on Saturday.
