ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are just 2-9 on the season, putting them in prime position to contend for a top three pick in the 2024 NFL Draft as the year starts to wrap itself up.

The Cardinals also hold the first-round pick of the Houston Texans thanks to their trade during the 2023 NFL Draft.

After the dust has settled on Week 11, here's where Monti Ossenfort and co. are looking draft position wise (order via Tankathon):

Current 2024 NFL Draft Order

  1. Chicago Bears (via CAR)
  2. Arizona Cardinals
  3. New England Patriots
  4. Chicago Bears
  5. New York Giants
  6. Tennessee Titans
  7. Washington Commanders
  8. Atlanta Falcons
  9. Green Bay Packers
  10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  11. New York Jets
  12. Los Angeles Chargers
  13. Los Angeles Rams
  14. Las Vegas Raiders
  15. Indianapolis Colts
  16. Denver Broncos
  17. Cincinnati Bengals
  18. Buffalo Bills
  19. New Orleans Saints
  20. Minnesota Vikings
  21. Arizona Cardinals (via HOU)
  22. Seattle Seahawks
  23. Pittsburgh Steelers
  24. Houston Texans (via CLE)
  25. Miami Dolphins
  26. Dallas Cowboys
  27. San Francisco 49ers
  28. Jacksonville Jaguars
  29. Kansas City Chiefs
  30. Detroit Lions
  31. Baltimore Ravens
  32. Philadelphia Eagles

The Cardinals have the same amount of wins as the Patriots, though Arizona hasn't had their bye week and the Patriots are 2-8 rather than 2-9. The Cardinals will see their bye in Week 14.

Chicago is just one win above the Cardinals at 1-9. They play each other on Christmas eve.

There's a world of possibilities for Arizona when draft day finally rolls around, though there's no denying the talents of Marvin Harrison Jr. would fit well in the desert.

Elite WR Prospect Could Change Cardinals Future

Pro Football Focus recently suggested the Cardinals should continue allowing their young players to get snaps while securing a top three spot in the draft.

"With how many young guys the Cardinals are playing, there are a lot of positives for this team to take into the future. They should continue to let their young players get snaps and improve while maintaining a top-three draft pick," wrote Trevor Sikkema.

Should Arizona truly want a new quarterback, it's expected Caleb Williams will go No. 1 next spring, which would place the Cardinals in position to grab Drake Maye.

Or, Arizona could continue building through the offensive line and grab another premier tackle to pair with Paris Johnson Jr. for the future. Names such as Joe Alt and Olu Fashanu are expected to go somewhere around the top five.

Limitless options exist for a flexible Cardinals team that needs help at plenty of spots. Six more games until draft szn officially begins here in Arizona.
