The Arizona Cardinals are set to enter their first offseason without DeAndre Hopkins since 2019, as the two sides knew a split was best for both parties.

Arizona knew they couldn't retain Hopkins at his $19.45 million salary for next season, and Hopkins was looking to join a contender while seeking one last payday.

The Cardinals seem to like their own receiving depth on the roster amid their rebuild, but where will Hopkins flock to next after stops with the Texans and Cardinals?

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero is reporting Hopkins is set to visit with the Tennessee Titans this weekend:

"Hopkins will fly to Tennessee on Sunday for a visit with the Titans, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Wednesday.

"Hopkins became a free agent when the Cardinals released him in late May after failing to find a worthwhile trade offer for the veteran receiver. Plenty of time has since been spent matching Hopkins with receiver-needy teams, but Tennessee hasn't been atop most lists of prospective fits."

Hopkins has been in search of a few different things, which has led to a few different teams labeled as fits. If he prioritized winning a ring, teams such as the Bills and Chiefs are thought to be contenders. If money is a prominent subject, perhaps the Patriots, Browns or Texans could be of service.

"Hopkins would instantly see a prominent role with this team, yet a fit remains curious, considering the Titans currently only have $7.9 million in cap space. It's not a pure money play, nor is it a blatant pursuit of a ring for Hopkins," said NFL.com.

AllTitans.com says there's a connection between the two sides.

"There is a personal connection to acknowledge as Hopkins did play for the Houston Texans while Vrabel was a defensive coach and while current Titans offensive coordinator Tim Kelly was an offensive assistant were coaches for the Texans," said Tyler Rowland.

"That personal connection along with the opportunity to make money and get the ball could entice Hopkins into joining the Titans."
