ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals again fell short of their goal of gaining a win, this time falling in 20-10 fashion to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7.

Here's how the action panned out:

First Quarter

After Joshua Dobbs and Arizona's offense failed to muster anything on their first drive of the afternoon, the Geno Smith-led Seahawks pieced together a few first-downs appeared to be on their way to open the scoring before a Zaven Collins sack pushed Seattle out of enemy territory and forced a punt.

After the Cardinals went three-and-out, Seattle soon found the end zone on a 28-yard touchdown pass to rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the first of his career.

SEA 7, AZ 0

Just when the Seahawks were set to see the ball back, DeeJay Dallas fumbled the ensuing punt from Arizona before Dennis Gardeck recovered at the SEA 30.

That was Seattle's first lost fumble this season.

The Cardinals settled for three on their new opportunity, putting themselves on the board with two minutes remaining in the first quarter.

SEA 7, AZ 3

Geno Smith completed all seven of his passes for 83 yards and one touchdown in the first quarter.

Second Quarter

Cardinals LB Kyzir White nearly saw a pick=six fall into his lap before dropping the sure turnover, but did however force a Seahawks punt.

Some life was finally found for Arizona's offense when Emari Demercado sprung off an 18-yard gain to push the Cardinals in opposing territory.

Looking to push for the lead, Dobbs threw what was initially an interception before a slew of flags revealed penalties on both teams, which included an ejection on Cardinals LT D.J. Humphries for making contact with an official.

On the ensuing play, facing a first-and-goal at the SEA 25, Dobbs found the end zone for Arizona's first touchdown of the day on a QB keeper.

AZ 10, SEA 7

The Seahawks would look to answer on their following drive, and the did just that after Jake Bobo made an incredible catch on the sideline to push the Seahawks back in the lead.

The catch was initially ruled out before Seattle head coach Pete Carroll successfully challenged the call and got the call overturned.

SEA 14, AZ 10

The Cardinals couldn't convert on their Hail Mary attempt before the half, ensuring they went into the locker room with a four-point deficit.

Third Quarter

The Seahawks drove down to the Arizona one-yard line but were stuffed on multiple rushing attempts from Kenneth Walker III, ultimately forcing a field goal and keeping their deficit to one possession.

SEA 17, AZ 10

Dobbs and co. couldn't muster anything on their first opportunity of the second half, going three-and-out before punting the ball back to Seattle.

With the Seahawks again threatening to score in the red zone, it was Cardinals rookie Garrett Williams - in his first NFL game - who came away with the takeaway to give Arizona new life.

Fourth Quarter

The Cardinals punted after just five net yards on four plays, though Arizona would force a third Seattle turnover after recovering a fumble from the QB-C snap exchange. Cardinals DL Kevin Strong recovered the ball at the SEA 34.

However, the Seattle defense again held strong and forced another Prater field goal attempt, which was no good.

The two sides exchanged punts, and we even saw Clayton Tuen throw a pass on a fake punt (that was far from successful) before the Seahawks gained possession with five minutes left in the game.

With just over two minutes left, Seahawks kicker Jason Myers nailed a 48-yard attempt to push Seattle's lead to double digits.

SEA 20, AZ 10

On Arizona's final drive, Dobbs was sacked twice by Seattle before the Cardinals eventually turned the ball over on downs, handing the Seahawks possession back for them to run the clock out and secure a win.
