Highlights From Cardinals' Back Together Weekend
GLENDALE -- The Arizona Cardinals just wrapped up their fourth training camp practice, yet Saturday's rendition was a bit more special - and full.
The Cardinals (along with the rest of the NFL) celebrated "Back Together Weekend" to cap the first week of camp. Players have tomorrow off before getting back to work on Monday.
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon addressed the crowd prior to practice getting underway and expressed his excitement to have fans at State Farm Stadium.
With the music blaring and bass kicking in front of the largest sea of fans the team has seen thus far, the Cardinals practiced with much more tempo and intensity compared to the last three days.
Various Cardinals alumni joined the field to be honored at the beginning of practice, including names ranging from Michael Pittman Sr. to John Skelton.
Though there weren't too many notable notes to take today, here's what we got:
- Colt McCoy resumed throwing the ball after not doing so yesterday. He has maintained a strong grip on QB1 reps.
- Kei'Trel Clark took a hefty amount of first-team CB reps opposite of Marco Wilson during team activities.
- Marquise Brown was again absent from team drills for a second consecutive day, though he did practice and do individual work at the beginning. The cause of this is currently unknown.
- Towards the end of practice, OL Dennis Daley and DL LJ Collier got into a scuffle and were kicked off the field by Jonathan Gannon.
- Marco Wilson had himself a day with a few batted balls in one-on-ones and an interception on Colt McCoy towards the end of practice. McCoy threw two interceptions in the final team period.
