Simulator Projects 2023 Stats for Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Other Cardinals

Pro Football Focus' game simulator projects some major statistics for the Arizona Cardinals in 2023.
In this story:

We're still months away from the 2023 season, yet projections for the Arizona Cardinals and every other team in the league are starting to formulate.

Pro Football Focus' game simulator (still in its beta phase) saw the Cardinals go 3-14 in our test trail (which you can read more about here). While it simmed each individual game, we also received cumulative stats for the upcoming year for each offensive position group.

Simulator Projects 2023 Stats for Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Other Cardinals

Quarterbacks

Kyler Murray - 398 completions on 628 passing attempts (63.3% completion percentage) for 4,827 yards and 21 passing touchdowns with 21 interceptions. He also rushed for 219 yards on 74 attempts for one touchdown as well.

Obviously, Kyler Murray is still recovering from ACL surgery and isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2023 season. However, Murray could potentially return earlier than anticipated if his recovery is going well.

Arizona also has Colt McCoy, David Blough and Clayton Tune in the mix.

Running Backs

James Conner - 865 yards on 188 rushing attempts (4.6 yards per carry) with four rushing touchdowns. He also added 78 receptions for 663 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns as well.

Corey Clement - 349 rushing yards on 50 attempts (6.98 yards per carry) with one rushing touchdown

It looks to again be the James Conner show in Arizona with little help behind him in the backfield. Conner has proven to be very impactful when healthy and upright, which is something the Cardinals will absolutely need in 2023 to ensure their offense doesn't completely shift to one dimension.

Wide Receivers

DeAndre Hopkins - 91 receptions for 1300 receiving yards and five touchdowns

Marquise Brown - 54 receptions for 797 yards and five touchdowns

Rondale Moore - 37 receptions for 490 yards and three touchdowns

It again looks to be the DeAndre Hopkins show in Arizona - should he ultimately stay of course. According to PFF he'll show absolutely no signs of slowing down and could definitely benefit from the Cardinals being down in most games this season.

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz - 82 receptions for 1,041 receiving yards and four touchdowns

Trey McBride - 14 receptions for 130 receiving yards

Arizona's tight end looks to take a big step up in 2023, mostly thanks to the healthy presence of Zach Ertz.
