Two Cardinals Questionable vs Commanders
Two Arizona Cardinals are officially labeled as questionable heading into their Sunday matchup with the Washington Commanders.
WR Marquise Brown and TE Zach Ertz are both up in the air for Arizona's first game of the season.
Brown is dealing with a hamstring and has been limited all week in practice. Michael Wilson would slide into starting duties with Zach Pascal on the boundary if Brown can't go. Rondale Moore should continue to anchor slot duties in that scenario.
Ertz was previously placed on the PUP list but was removed during the preseason after tearing his ACL/MCL last year. He was unsure if he would return for the season opener, and now Trey McBride could get starting duties to begin the year.
OL Kelvin Beachum has been ruled out with a hand injury. After initially practicing on Wednesday, he did not see the field on Thursday or Friday. Arizona will have to rely on one of the four offensive linemen they claimed on waivers to supplement help if any starters go down.
Dennis Gardeck is good to go with his own knee injury and was taken off the injury report. He is expected to start opposite of Zaven Collins at OLB.
The Commanders have two players listed as questionable in DE James Smith-Williams and DE Chase Young. Smith-Williams was added to the injury report today with a oblique injury while Young has practiced in a limited capacity with a neck injury.
Washington did receive good news, as WR Terry McLaurin (toe) and CB Benjamin St.-Juste (ankle) were removed from the report.
