VIDEO: Cardinals Safety Budda Baker Works Through Knee Discomfort
GLENDALE -- The Arizona Cardinals put the pads on for the first time during their new training camp period under coach Jonathan Gannon, and have managed to dodge significant injury thus far.
However, one of their top players in safety Budda Baker suffered a minor scare on Tuesday during the early portion of practice. Baker was going through positional drills and though the actual cause wasn't seen, he was spotted grabbing his right knee and was in clear discomfort.
After going through multiple stretches and sitting off to the side for a few minutes, Baker put himself back in and again reached for his knee after going through a drill.
Though at first he was spotted with a minor limp, Baker eventually worked through it and managed to participate in his normal workload of one-on-one and team activities, sprinting and cutting with no apparent issues.
Video of him being stretched and going through drills immediately after he began suffering discomfort can be found below:
The Cardinals will be back at practice tomorrow with their next day off coming on Friday, one day before the Red and White scrimmage. The team will then have the following day off before heading into game prep as their first preseason matchup will be next week.
