Cardinals-Cowboys Week 3 Prop Bets
The Arizona Cardinals play host to the Dallas Cowboys in a game where not many expect things to be competitive. The Cowboys enter this matchup as 12-point favorites (second highest in the league this week) and the Cardinals haven't exactly gotten respect on the national level.
Action Network didn't even post an anytime TD scorer for this game and encouraged fans to use this time slot to... take a nap.
"Even as a Cowboys fan, I’d be shocked if I watched more than 20 minutes of this game," wrote Gilles Gallant.
"The pass rush from Dallas should limit Joshua Dobbs' ability to move the ball, which should lead to quick dump-offs to Zach Ertz or James Connor. However, if the Cards don’t score early, we could see backups by the fourth quarter.
"The Cardinals have surprisingly been feisty through two weeks but have fallen off after halftime in each game. This is a good spot to take a nap and before Sunday Night Football."
Anyways - you're here for some actual bets - so here's three prop bets from the best peeps around the web:
USA Today: James Conner UNDER 56.5 Rushing Yards
Cletis Cutts: "The Cardinals are going up against a Dallas Cowboys defense that terrorized the New York Giants and New York Jets. The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the league and, if they get an early lead, will likely make the Cardinals one-dimensional on offense to try to stay with them as long as they can. If Arizona has to abandon the run, which is likely, Conner may not get the number of carries needed to surpass this number."
Sports Illustrated: Dak Prescott OVER 12.5 rushing yards
Jennifer Piacenti: "The Cardinals allowed 59 rushing yards and a rushing TD to Daniel Jones in Week 2 after allowing 11 rushing yards and a rushing TD to Sam Howell in Week 1. Prescott scrambled for 14 vs. the Jets last weekend, and I’ll bet there will be a designed run play or two on Sunday for Dak in Arizona."
Forbes: Tony Pollard ANYTIME TD Scorer
Tyler Maher: "It’s a good idea to focus on Dallas for player props here as the Cowboys are likely to dominate. An appealing one to consider is Tony Pollard to score a touchdown anytime at -165 odds.
"The 2022 Pro Bowler has flourished in the lead back role this season now that he’s no longer splitting carries with Ezekiel Elliott. Through two games, he’s racked up 142 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, plus another 49 yards through the air on nine catches.
"Pollard’s 48 touches lead the NFL, and he should be in line for another large workload in Week 3. If Dallas jumps out to an early lead, the game script will call for more runs from Pollard to kill the clock and protect the lead.
"Pollard was held scoreless last week but punched in two TDs in Week 1. Look for him to get back in the score column in a game where he should be heavily featured."
