Cardinals LT D.J. Humphries Ejected vs Seahawks
ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals will be without left tackle D.J. Humphries for the remainder of the team's Week 7 battle against the Seattle Seahawks after he was ejected for making contact with an official.
With 9:18 remaining in the second quarter, Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs was intercepted by Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon after targeting Michael Wilson in the right corner of the end zone.
However, a slew of flags appeared on the field before a ten minute discussion between the entire crew of officials revealed numerous penalties for both teams.
After two personal foul penalties were awarded against Seattle, it was revealed Humphries was ejected for his own personal foul penalty:
Kelvin Beachum has replaced Humphries, who immediately went to the locker room after his ejection.
On the very next play - facing a 1st-and-goal from the SEA 25 - the Cardinals scored on a Dobbs QB keeper to take a 10-7 lead.
Humphries will turn 30 later in December and has anchored Arizona's left side of the line since arriving as a first-round pick in 2015. He is under contract through the 2025 season.
