Cardinals Snap Counts Against Titans

Almost as many players on the Cardinals roster did not play as did in Saturday’s game against the Titans.
In this story:

The did-not-play list was nearly as large for the Cardinals in Saturday’s preseason finale against Tennessee as it was for those that played in the 26-23 loss.

Of the 81 players on the roster, 39 (almost half) did not play. That leaves 42 that did: 20 on offense, 19 on defense and the three true specialists in the kicking game: long snapper Aaron Brewer, punter Andy Lee and kicker Matt Prater. Thirty other players had special-teams snaps.

In the first game, when there were 91 on the roster, 29 did not play. In Week 2, 32 of the 86 players didn’t participate.

Several players that started Saturday night played sparingly.

On offense, running back Eno Benjamin played only 11% of the snaps, while right guard Rashaad Coward played 25%, followed by both center Sean Harlow and left guard Cody Ford with 17%.

Defensively, safety Deionte Thompson played 23%, inside linebackers Zaven Collin and Tanner Vallejo 17% and cornerback Marco Wilson a mere 4% (three snaps).

Bring on the regular season.
