Chandler Jones Says CTE Isn't Real

Former Arizona Cardinals OLB Chandler Jones says CTE isn't real.

ARIZONA -- The tales of former Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker Chandler Jones continue with no end seemingly in sight.

Jones hasn't played for the organization since departing in free agency after 2021, joining the Las Vegas Raiders before being released back in September.

Jones has been fairly active on all forms of social media, and a recent interview on the Jaxxon Podcast revealed an interesting take: He doesn't believe CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) is real.

Jones and Antonio Brown previously spoke about doing a podcast together, which you can read more about here

Recently, Jones doubled down:

"Going into your conversation of the CTE thing - I think it's funny. Me and Antonio Brown were actually going to run a podcast called 'CTE Podcast' because they're saying we both have CTE. So I don't know the other two words in the acronym CTE but I know the 'T' stands for trauma," Jones said.

"I know its not blunt force trauma. It doesn't also mean you got hit in the head too many times - that doesn't mean that. CTE is not real, I don't believe it's real."

Jones also made some very interesting comments towards other possibilities of CTE if viewers wish to indulge in the full episode.

A study done by Boston University in 2023 found nearly 92% of former NFL players were diagnosed with CTE in their pool of 376 players.
