Cardinals Get Good News on Kyler Murray
ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are expecting quarterback Kyler Murray to play in Week 17's road contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Jonathan Gannon.
"Yeah, he'll be out there today. He's feeling better - he'll be ready to go," Gannon told reporters. Murray had missed the two previous days of practice due to illness but was present Friday.
Murray missed the first nine games of the year after recovering from ACL surgery but has played in each game since his return. Last week's loss vs Chicago saw his first game of 2023 where he threw for multiple touchdowns with no interceptions while also posting his highest passer rating of the season (97.5).
Gannon when asked if he was worried about Kyler only getting in one day of practice:
"A little bit, but he's played a lot of ball. He was out there yesterday and got all the mental reps. We've probably met more this week than any other week just getting him up to speed on things but like I said, he'll be out there today and he'll go let it rip."
Arizona will release their official list of game statuses later today, but it appears they'll have their franchise passer in a tough road matchup come Sunday.
