J.J. Watt Pokes Fun at Zach Ertz for Poorly Thrown First Pitch
Former Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman J.J. Watt is just months removed from NFL retirement and is already roasting a former teammate.
Current Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz and wife Julie (who plays for the United States Women's National Soccer Team) threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Philadelphia Phillies' Saturday game against the Boston Red Sox.
While Julie threw a strike, the former Eagles playmaker bounced the pitch in the dirt.
And Watt couldn't hold back on Ertz's throw.
J.J. went to Twitter and took shots at his friend's baseball pitch.
Watt tweeted on Sunday morning, "We have to get this scrubbed from the internet ASAP. We cannot have people with lots of followers retweeting and sharing this. Have you ever thrown a baseball before?!"
Unfortunately for Ertz, he's coming off a torn ACL from the 2022 season.
As for the five-time Pro Bowler Watt, he's begun his retirement and put investments into English soccer.
On May 1, he and his soccer player wife, Kealia Ohai, were announced as new minority investors in Burnley F.C., which is a soccer club heading into the English Premier League next season.
