ARIZONA -- It didn't take long for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray to reach another career milestone.

Heading into Week 16's matchup with the Chicago Bears, Murray needed just 77 passing yards to reach a total of 15,000 in his career, joining Russell Wilson, Josh Allen and Cam Newton as the only players in NFL history with 15,000+ passing yards and 2,000+ rushing yards in their first five seasons.

Murray officially crossed the milestone with a 22-yard connection to Rondale Moore with seconds remaining in the first half.

There's been plenty of talk surrounding Murray's future in Arizona, though as of now it appears the Cardinals are intent on keeping the former No. 1 pick around for 2024.

“I don’t enjoy losing. This season has been difficult, not only for me, but I’m sure for everybody," Murray said earlier this week.

Arizona has won just two games since he's returned from rehabbing an ACL tear.

"Nobody envisioned, or I would say, I didn’t envision being 3-11. Yeah, it’s tough losing. You don’t play this game to lose. You play this game to go to the big one. You play the game to win it. That’s my goal, and it’s always going to be my goal.”

There's a handful of other milestones Murray can cross today vs Chicago:

  • With a rushing and passing TD, Murray would have both a passing and rushing TD for the 19th time in his career. Just two players in NFL History - Cam Newton (31) and Josh Allen (25) - would have more such games in their first five seasons.
  • With two passing TDs, Murray would reach 90 TD passes in his career. Combined with his 26 rushing TDs, Murray would join Josh Allen, Cam Newton and Daunte Culpepper as the only QBs in NFL history with 90+ passing TDs and 25+ rushing TDs in their first five seasons.
  • With a rushing TD, Murray would have 27 rushing TDs as a member of the Cardinals. That would tie James Conner (2021-23), Johnny Roland (1966-72) and Elmer Angsman (1946-52) for sixth place on the franchise all-time list for career rushing TDs.
