Cardinals' Kyler Murray Takes Cheap Shot From Seahawks LB
ARIZONA -- Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray took quite the cheap shot from Seattle Seahawks linebacker Devin Bush in the fourth quarter of their Week 18 battle.
With 4:19 left and the Cardinals leading 20-13, Murray scrambled out to his right-hand side and gave himself up (sliding) before Bush came in late on the tackle well after Murray was down.
Murray appeared to be in some pain - perhaps looking to sell the personal foul - twisting and turning on the play and calling for medical personnel to look at him.
The hit - which wasn't flagged - was met with loud boo's from the Cardinals' home crowd.
Cardinals backup Clayton Tune filled in for Murray in his one-play absence, which was a hand-off. Murray was greeted with cheers as he jogged back to action.
Heading into Week 18's battle vs Seattle, Murray has completed 154 of 238 passes for 1,537 yards and nine touchdowns to five interceptions. He also has three rushing touchdowns.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirmed earlier this morning Arizona would continue with Murray heading into the 2024 season.
"There was so much uncertainty based on the injury, what he had dealt with in Kliff Kingsbury - some inconsistency. My understanding: The organization is in fact behind this," he said.
"They are moving forward with Kyler Murray as their starting quarterback, which does allow them to build around him in the draft and also eliminates some uncertainty: One fewer QB available this offseason."
