Cardinals LB Announces Return
ARIZONA -- Arizona Cardinals LB Krys Barnes is returning to the team in 2024 per... himself.
Barnes shared on his personal instagram page he was re-joining the Cardinals on a one-year deal. Financial terms are not yet known at this point in time.
Barnes - who will turn 26 later this offseason - first entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Previously playing for the Green Bay Packers from 2020-22, Barnes joined Arizona last offseason under new head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Last season, Barnes played 16 games for Arizona with 55 tackles and one interception. He made six starts at inside linebacker, playing 39% of total defensive snaps for the Cardinals.
Barnes is the latest to return to the team as free agency is already underway, joining teammates in Blake Gillikin, Jesse Luketa, L.J. Collier, Carter O'Donnell and Trystan Colon.
New additions for Arizona include Sean Murphy-Bunting, Bilal Nichols, Justin Jones and Mack Wilson.
The Cardinals hope to improve their 4-13 record from last season and have already made a strong push to upgrade the defensive side of the ball.
Kyzir White figures to be back at ILB for the Cardinals after suffering a season-ending biceps injury.
