ARIZONA -- Former Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown made things official yesterday when pen hit paper and he officially became the newest member of the Kansas City Chiefs. 

Brown now joins the back-to-back Super Bowl champions who will look to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Lombardi trophies. 

Brown will be switching from No. 2 to No. 5 in Kansas City:

Contract details were just released after Brown reportedly agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $11 million with incentives. Details courtesy of Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. 

Marquise Brown Contract Details

The contract is actually good for $7 million with:

  • $3 million to sign
  • $3.5 million base (guaranteed)
  • $250K in per-game roster bonuses
  • $250K workout bonus
  • $1 million in TD incentives
  • $1.5 million in playtime incentives
  • $1.5 million in yards incentives

Here's those incentives:

  • 5 TD: $500,000
  • 6 TD: $750,000
  • 7 TD: $1,000,000
  • 45% play-time: $500,000
  • 52.5% play-time: $625,000
  • 60% play-time: $750,000
  • 75% play-time: $1.5 million
  • 500 receiving yards: $500,000
  • 625 receiving yards: $625,000
  • 750 receiving yards: $750,000
  • 1,000 receiving yards: $1,500,000

"When the Chiefs are interested in you, you've got to take a look at that," Brown said (h/t Arrowhead Report). 

"Of course, I can go get some money at other places but at the end of the day, it's about winning. It's about what I want, and I feel like everything just worked out the way it should."
