Marquise Brown Signing With New Team
ARIZONA -- Former Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown has found a new home.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Brown is signing with the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal.
"A new weapon for Patrick Mahomes: Former Ravens and Cardinals WR Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, per sources.
"During is final season in Baltimore in 2021, Brown had 91 catches for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. During 26 games over two seasons in Arizona, Brown had 118 catches for 1,283 yards and seven TDs."
Brown entered 2024 as an unrestricted free agent and is now on his third team.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport is reporting the deal is worth up to $11 million.
After the Cardinals dealt Rondale Moore earlier today, there was some hope in the desert that Brown would return.
Now, he's on his way to Kansas City to play on an offense that features Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The Chiefs have won back to back Super Bowls and look to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive championships.
Mahomes recently restructured his deal to give Kansas City over $20 million in cap savings for this offseason.
Brown - a former first-round pick - hoped to form a dynamic duo with DeAndre Hopkins in the desert, though injuries and overall lack of production prevented Brown from reaching his potential with Arizona even after Hopkins departed last summer.
