Cardinals Update Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson Injuries
ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are back to work following their Week 14 bye, and in order to beat the daunting San Francisco 49ers as they enter State Farm Stadium this week, they'll need all available weapons possible.
That mostly alludes to the health within the receiver room, as top guys such as Marquise Brown and Michael Wilson battled injuries heading into their week off.
To Brown's credit, he's played in all 13 games for Arizona despite being a somewhat constant on the injury report, though he left the game against Pittsburgh early with a heel injury.
"I know he feels a lot better today than he has the last couple weeks, so hopefully he's out there practicing and we get him going and like he's done all year, make plays for us," said Jonathan Gannon earlier today.
Brown leads the Cardinals with 101 targets and four touchdowns. He's second only to Trey McBride in receptions (51) and receiving yards (574).
Wilson's bout with the injury bug has been considered more serious, as the rookie pass-catcher hasn't played since Week 10 vs Atlanta due to a shoulder injury.
"He should be out there this week in some capacity. He's doing good," Gannon said of Wilson, who reportedly suffered a setback in his recovery weeks ago.
Arizona Sports' Tyler Drake reports Wilson was present during the team's practice on Monday while Brown was not spotted.
