Budda Baker Sends Exciting Message to Cardinals Fans Ahead of Camp
The Arizona Cardinals begin training camp today, and taking the field will again be No. 3 Budda Baker. The All-Pro safety has been a fixture at State Farm Stadium's summer practices since his arrival years ago, though 2023's camp was very much up in the air.
Earlier in the offseason, Baker reportedly asked for either of the two options:
1. Be made one of the highest-paid safeties in football
2. Be traded
It's been months since that request, and the Cardinals have failed to do either (though negotiations were taking place back at mandatory minicamp).
Yesterday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Baker would indeed show up to training camp - though that would be smart on Baker's end. He could be fined up to $40,000 per day and thanks to the new CBA, teams can no longer waive those fines after coming to an agreement on a new contract.
Baker will indeed be in attendance, and he shared a pretty NSFW message on Instagram: of him in Arizona's locker room:
"Hey, man. All I want to know is - are y’all (expletive) ready, man? Go Cards.”
