NFL Insider Says Budda Baker Will be at Training Camp

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker will be at training camp.

On Saturday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker will be at the team’s training camp next week. 

“Cardinals’ Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker, who did not get the trade that he requested this off-season and still would like a contract extension, is expected to report to training camp with the rest of his teammates Tuesday,” said Schefter. 

If you’re a Cardinals fan, this isn’t exactly breaking news. Baker told 12 News’ Cameron Cox that he would be there “when it mattered” - and the safety stayed true to his word when mandatory mini-camp rolled around, though he wasn’t on the field with teammates. 

That could again be the case as Baker could take the good ol “hold-in” route, where he practices off to the side but is still in attendance. 

The 27-year-old has two years left on his contract with no guaranteed money left.
