WATCH: Kyler Murray Returns to Practice
ARIZONA -- Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray returned to practice today following his designation to return from the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.
Murray - who tore his ACL late in 2022 - was placed on the PUP list at the beginning of training camp and wasn't removed ahead of the start of the regular season, ensuring he missed at least the first month of the season.
Now, he's back on the practice field for the first time in 2023:

Head coach Jonathan Gannon met with reporters earlier before practice and said Murray was the one who decided he would practice today. He will have 21 days before the team must place him on the active roster.
Murray will likely need a few weeks to give the team confidence he can mentally and physically handle the load of offensive coordinator Drew Petzing's new scheme, so it's expected Josh Dobbs will continue to steady the boat under center until then.
Arizona is currently 1-5 through six weeks of play. The Cardinals are set to play the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7 before hosting the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.
